Instructions

  • Combine the warm water and yeast in a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir in the brown sugar and salt until dissolved.
  • 1 cup bread flour at a time, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).
  • Shape the dough into bagels by dividing it into 12 equal pieces.
  • Bring water to a boil in a large pot and carefully drop the bagels into the boiling water.
  • Boil the bagels for 1 minute on each side before transferring them to a baking sheet.
  • Combine the ground cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  • Spread the mixture on the bagels.
  • 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and enough water to make a glaze.
  • Serve with the glaze drizzled over the bagels.
